Cams.com Experiments with New Layout

For as long as I can remember, Cams.com had the same massive layout that showed every single performer who was online at all times. The thumbnails were small, and over the years there was more and more scrolling. On Saturday that has changed as Cams.com released a brand new layout that appears to be a little more Web 2.0.

As you can see, the most noticeable difference is the thumbnails. They are probably 4 times the size and much easier to discern what girl you’re clicking on. Along the top are tabs that allow you to switch from Free Chat, to Live Nude Chat, to New Models. The right hand side has a handy search that allows you to pick exactly what you’re looking for. It is broken down by category, hair, race, and age.

I’m not sure if I like the new setup. The new page shows 32 performers, but there is no next button. So instead of going page by page like other cam sites with the big thumbnails, your only option is to swap to the classic view. Sort of defeats the purpose and eliminates the best aspect of the new layout (the big thumbnails) for the models that don’t make the top 32.
