xBiz Announces Nominees for Live Video Chat of the Year

Sure it’s not the Academy Awards, but the adult industry has it’s award shows too. The XBiz Awards (XBizAwards.com are one of them and are the porn industry’s version of the Golden Globes (with the AVN Awards being the Oscars). Every year an illustrious group of cam companies are nominated for Live Video Chat of the year with one being crowned the winner.
This year there are 10 nominees, which is a tad absurd. XBiz has been accused in the past of catering toward their advertisers when it comes to nominations, and having such a large list of contenders is not helping to stomp out those rumors.
Nonetheless, the nominees for the 2009 XBiz Awards Live Video Chat of the Year are as follows:

- Cams.com
- CamZ
- ImLive
- Live Jasmin
- Live Cam Network
- Video Secrets (Flirt4Free.com)
- WebCamClub
- WebCamCash (Spread4U.com)
- Webcams.com
In our opinion, the winner this year should be ImLive. They’ve put together one of the biggest lineups of stars, good prices, and a set of features that is literally unmatched (read more in our ImLive review). From a consumer perspective, it’s the best live cam site out there. I’d also give an honorable mention to Webcams.com which comes in at a close second.
Last years winner was Video Secrets, which runs the popular Flirt4Free chat site (among others). It’s a nice site with great performers, but one of the highest priced on the market.
Ultimately, the award is just for fun and some debate amongst the adult industry. XBiz does not give any information on their criteria for determining a winner, so everything should be taken with a grain of sale. In any event, all the nominees run solid cam sites that offer quality to us consumers.

Flirt 4 Free won this thing somehow. There site ain’t bad, but fuck, they aren’t the best. Do they pay off the judges here or what? How do these awards work? Someone needs to make a viewers choice of porn awards so that the real fans can vote for what’s best.
